Abstract A novel methodology is presented for the reliability-based manufacturing cost optimisation of composite aircraft structures. comprehensive bottom-up costing approach employed, enabling precise estimation in terms material, machine, labour, tooling, and indirect costs. This splits process into many individual activities, which can be combined different ways, allowing proposed to applied a wide range genetic algorithm (GA) coupled with deep neural network (DNN) efficiently determine optimal ply stacking sequence every part an assembled structure. numerical example featuring composite-stiffened fuselage panel investigated.
